High-precision40Ar/39Ar dating makes it possible to determine the ages of fluid inclusions.Fluid inclusions could be extracted by stepwise heating or crushing.The data points of quartz by stepwise heating,however,do not form an isochron line,which may be caused by mixture of variable amount of argon release from both fluid inclusions(secondary and primary)and solid phases(Qiu,1996).40Ar/39Ar stepwise crushing techniqiue has been verified feasible to determine fluid inclusions within minerals.Now geofluid40Ar/39Ar dating technique provides a wide application to date hydrothermal fluid activities associated with geological processes.
