Yield of trihalomethanes upon chlorinating algal cells and humic acid via different chemical compositions

摘要

Humic substances are usually regarded as the major DBP precursors in water. As compared tohumic substances, algae can contribute significantly to the DBP precursors. A comparison of the DBPformation between algal cells and humic substances during chlorination in the laboratory was investigated.According to elemental and fluorescence analysis, algae contain more nitrogenous compounds than humicacid, and generate less THMs due to produce other N-DBPs. The molar ratio Br/Cl2is an important factorfor THM formation and speciation.
