Wireless technology is gaming rapid deployment in workplaces. However, it is not clear that desired results are achieved from deploying this technology. The performance impact brought about by a wireless technology in an environment where usage is mandatory is the focus of this research. This research goes beyond utilization and satisfaction measures to explain the technology's performance impact based on end-user's feedback in a healthcare environment. Building upon two existing theories, i.e., Task-Technology Fit and the DeLone & McLean updated model of IS success, this research proposes a comprehensive model to predict the perceived performance impact attributed to the use of wireless technology. Five success variables form the constructs of the structural model, i.e., System Quality, Task-Technology Fit, End-User Computing Satisfaction, System Usage, Perceived performance Impact. A 53 item instrument is developed and items were tested for reliability and validity using Cronbach's Alpha.
