摘要

Thermoelectric conversion is a process by whichrnelectricity can be directly converted into heat and vicernversa. This technique is as critical in space science asrnphotovoltaics. The current technological bottleneck inrnthermoelectric generators for use in space resides inrnthermoelectric materials. Efforts are constantly beingrnmade in order to discover more efficient alloys andrnimproved fabrication protocols. This work is an initialrnreport of our finding that the thermoelectricrnperformance of Chevrel phase-derived AgxMo9Se11rnsamples could be greatly improved when their synthesis,rnbased on powder metallurgy and Spark PlasmarnSintering, is followed by annealing steps.
