The origin of FEP (and other fluoropolymers) erosionrnin space environment is still in question; atomicrnoxygen, UV or high-energy particle such as N2. In thernrecent ground-based study, role of high-energy impactrnof chemically inert atoms/molecules is addressed. Inrnorder to verify this ground-based result in space,rnmaterials test in super–low earth orbit, where N2rnfraction is higher than conventional LEO, is conductedrnusing an opportunity to carry FEP sample aboardrnsuper-low altitude test satellite (SLATS). Feasibilityrnwas evaluated to distinguish the origin of FEP erosionrnby comparing SLATS data at the altitude of 200 kmrnand MISSE data at 400 km.
