The paper studies the reactions of [ML(L-H)]X (where M = Ni, Cu and L = 1-phenyl-2(1'-piperidinyl) ethanone oxime) with Lewis acids like SnCl_4 and TiCl_4 when semiclathrochelates of [M(L-H)_2MCl_2]~(2+) type (M' = Ti, Sn) have been obtained. The complexes have been characterized by conductivity measurements, electronic and FT-IR spectra. Such complexes should be potential oxygen molecular carriers.
