摘要

The dynamic and static characteristics of any shipping environment are the critical parameters to design a package to protect the product being shipped and the fundamental elements to develop the procedure to test the performance of the package being designed. In the past decades, different distribution systems have been extensively stuided and ISTA, ASTM D4169, SIO 4180/2 and other nationa. and international packaging test standards have been well established. However, most of the data of past studies are given in the norms based on average situations seen in the most common carriers sued in the past. The past studies suggested certain assurance levels depenndingf on different confidence levels having on the distribution systems becase of the limitation of technology. Also, small parcel express shipping is relatively new but has grown rapidly as a unique shipping environment and has rarely been extensively studied.
