A special load test vehicle was developed based on a high mobility chassis of truckrnto measure the tractive force of trucks, tractors and construction vehicles. Precision electronicrnand electro-mechanical devices were equipped on-board of the vehicle. There were alsorninstalled other devices for the purpose of measurement or test of terrain machines orrnagricultural components in the field test.rnThe load test vehicle is mainly composed of body, loading system, control system, measuringrnsystem, data log and treatment system, and power supply system. The direct control circuit forrnthe feedback analog signal is adopted in the automatic control system, which has two kinds ofrncontrol mode including load control and speed control for various types of tested vehicle.rnThe maximum load of the developed load vehicle is 60 kN, the minimum load is zero; thernmaximum test speed is 50 km/h, the minimum speed is 1 km/h; the control accuracy is less thanrn3%, and the power of the tested vehicle is between 5 and 100 kW. The loading control is carriedrnout automatically without man made interference. Test results confirm that the developed loadrntest vehicle can mach the needs of the tractive force test of the terrain vehicles and have therncharacteristics of high control accuracy, easy operation, and comfortable working environment.
