Most of drive systems are transmission of fixed axis,weight reduction design (WRD) of transmission parts rotating fixed axis is the key to energy-saving design of the drive systems.It is especially evident for medium or large-sized transmission units of frequent startup,braking,speed modulation and commutation.Firstly energy-saving principle of WRD of the transmission parts is analyzed,then approaches of WRD of the transmission parts are introduced,and next WRD of the transmission parts based on configuration optimization is emphasized.Besides reducing energy consumption,the WRD is also significant for material saving.
