摘要

The current knowledge about radiation risk suggests that there should be no significant adverse health outcome due to cosmic radiation exposure of aircrew, at the doses now received. Further study of aircrew is needed to determine whether cosmic radiation, in combination with other occupational factors, is contributing to the observed cancer excesses in some studies. Because of the uncertainty in quantifying the risk of childhood cancer following in pre-natal radiation exposure, the cosmic radiation exposure of pregnant aircrew should be kept as low as reasonably achievable.
