摘要

In mid-2005 on the challenge of replacing the system of radio communication byrnmobile phone in contact with their operational teams, the CET (traffic engineeringrncompany – S?o Paulo) decided to include the use of messages of type SMS (ShortrnMessage Service) and also the transmission of data over the internet. The use of textrnmessaging has greater agility in decision-making and in the distribution of information.rnThis paradigm shift has brought benefits and difficulties which we present briefly.rnIn this paper, we describe how text messages, initially designed only as a contingencyrnoperational tool became part of the system, and is now an important tool for managingrnand distributing information to the point of having been mounted two messagingrnsystems, a SMS (Short Message Service) and the other over the Internet. Are presentedrnfour types of application: distribution of information; Notice of submission ofrnoccurrences; Exchange of information between technical`s road and Contingencies.rnFinally we propose some criteria to use Messages with respect to quantity and quality ofrnthe information sent.
