In the 21st century, it will be necessary to safeguard and foster peaceful, democratic social surrounding as well as fine ecological environment in order to resolve the problem of man' s existence; it will be desired to promote successive and common development in order to improve man's social life. Therefore, law is sure to manifest the following basic developing trends; 1. The ideological influence on laws will comparatively shrink, the general and social function of laws will continually be strenghened. 2. The private laws and regulations, with the main body of civil and commercial law, will become the base of the legal system. 3. The orientation concept of international society will be greatly heightened in the domestic and international legislative and judicial activities. 4. The tendency of the harmonization and assimilation of the laws in various states will be increasingly strenghthened.
