摘要

Every household hazardous waste (HHW) program needs one or more sources of funding to support the high costs of facility construction and maintenance, staff and training, education and promotion, supplies and equipment, waste transport and disposal. Most programs rely on multiple sources of funding, and the combinations are as unique as the communities they serve. This paper will highlight fourteen of the common (and a few not so common) funding methods used by HHW programs. An appendix to this paper, which lists specific funding sources in several U.S. communities, is available through the above address.
