Product stewardship is easy and getting easier as it gets more convenient in the Region of Ottawa-Carleton, thanks to an innovative new program called "Take it Back!" (TIB). This unique regional product stewardship, or return-to-vendor program, is a recent additional component of an integrated strategy to deal with the Household Special Waste (HSW) for certain problematic items that do not belong in the Region's landfill or extensive recycling program.
