Research on Efficiency of the RB-IGBT Three-level Inverter Applied to Intelligent Micro-grid

This paper described a three-level circuit for a power distribution system used in intelligent micro-grid and combines an ordinary T-type three-level circuit with an RBIGBT. The topology of the circuit was firstly introduced in this paper, then the author introduces the modulation method and double closed-loop control strategy of the T-type three-level circuit based on RB-IGBT, afterwards the model for simulation was built. The losses of the RB-IGBT T-type three-level circuit, T-type three-level circuit based on common IGBT and two-level circuit were analyzed, including the calculation method of conduction and switching loss in detail. Then the losses of the three circuits were calculated. Finally, the efficiency of the circuit was compared under different switching frequencies and different output powers, so as to analyze the influence of the two factors of switching frequency and output power on different circuits.
