A Car-following Dynamic Model on Equilibrium

摘要

Considering the equilibrium theory, this paper presented a new optimal velocity function (desired velocity), and discussed its formation and validity in detail. Further, we established an improved dynamic model based on the well accepted "stimulus -response" pattern. Finally, we performed parameters calibration and model validation with the experimental data. The results showed that the improved model's theoretical simulation results are in better agreement with the experimental results in both acceleration even speed and deceleration process, without unrealistic acceleration appearance in existing car-following models.
