Tyvek spunbonded olefin is DuPont's trademark for a family of tough, durable sheet products that are stronger than paper and less expensive and more versatile than fabrics. It is offering a balance of physical characteristics that combine some of the properties of paper, film and cloth. Tyvek is formed by a continuous process from very fine 0.5 - 10 micrometer fibers. There nondirectional fibers are first spun and then bonded together by heat and pressure, without hinders or fillers. Figure 1. Showed the fiber structure of Tyvek.
