摘要

An integrated multifunctional system for the gas combustion control in domestic boilers is presented. This microsystem combines an integrated air flow sensor with a gas multisensor performed on micromachined silicon membranes and structures, which support four different sensing layers needed for the measurement of the oxygen, carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxide in the flue duct. Determination of oxygen content together with the residual carbon monoxide is used for the improvement of the combustion efficiency, pollution production and safety conditions whereas nitrogen oxide measurement is taken only as a warning signal. Control loop is verified by means of the air flow values, which corroborate the right air injection in the combustion chamber. Evaluation data of the sensor performances, gas and air flow, working conditions, packaging and location of the microsystem inside boiler will be presented and discussed.
