摘要

Cogeneration system furnished with gas engines produces waste heat in two forms, one as steam (usually 0.8 MPa) from the exhaust gas and the other as hot water from the coolant of an engine. The usages of hot water are limited because its temperature is approximately 90℃, and a pump for hot water and a radiator unit for controlling coolant temperature are required. On the other hand, steam is easy to utilize for heating. An ebullient-cooling gas engine (power output: 270 ekW), whose coolant is pressurized to 0.3 MPa and which can directly take out 0.3MPa steam has been developed. Improvements of its performance were made and evaluation tests were conducted by 1998 in the test bench. Then, cogeneration package using this engine at a user's facility began to operate in July 1999 and inspection at 4000h and 8000h operation was conducted.
