The objective of this experimental work is to have a better understanding of the industrial burners using the ? flameless oxidation ? principle. In this way, we have done the characterisation of two industrial regenerative burners: a Regemat 350 Flox? burner from WS GmbH and a Twinbed FFR burner from North American Manufacturing Co. patented by Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd. In particular we have studied the influence of the main operating parameters (thermal input of the burner, furnace temperature, air/fuel ratio, percentage of exhaust gases recirculation and time cycle when possible) on its NOx emissions and its energy efficiencies.
