摘要

Dielectric resonator antennas made from low loss dielectric materials are proposed to be use at millimeter wave frequencies because of their high radiation efficiency and their wide bandwidth. The numerical analysis shows that the losses at the ka band are not significant. However, the designer should be aware of some problems that might exist, such as the air gap effect.
