Spray rolling is a process that combines spray forming with rolling for the net-shape manufacturing of aluminum strip. A joint research program between the University of California - Irvine, the Colorado School of Mines, and the Idaho National Engineering and Environmental Laboratory for the development of this technique is on-going. This program is built on a modeling/experiments synergy. This paper focuses on the multidisciplinary, multi-scale (from the droplet scale to the strip scale) modeling and simulation effort. In particular, the droplet impact models and the rolling model are outlined. Model integration is also briefly addressed.
