摘要

Image Tensor Analysis (ITA) is a numerical process that utilises digital video footagernto determine the transient deformation of material samples. When applied to a fibroporousrnmedia like bagasse, the process output contains measured fields of localrndeformation and associated parameters. Footage of bagasse captured from bothrnuniaxial and rolling experiments has to date been analysed using the procedure. ITArntracks the motion of a surface of a bagasse sample as it experiences deformation. Asrnsuch, it provides validation data for comparison with finite element solutions of therncrushing process, which employ material yield criteria and hardening relationships tornpredict the sample deformation. This paper reports on the technique, application andrnpractical limitations of ITA as an image analysis tool.
