A method is presented for prediction of liquid condensed from natural gases in operating gas pipelines.rnFrom a typical gas chromatographic analysis of the single phase gas, coupled with a single chilled mirrorrnor other dew point temperature measurement of the gas at pipeline pressure, the gas analysis is extendedrnmathematically so the Peng-Robinson equation of state will match the single measured dew point. Thernresultant extended analysis then can be used with confidence of reasonable accuracy for liquid condensed,rnespecially near the dew point. The benefit to the industry of this method is the fact that (1) the extremernaccuracy required for the use of an extended analysis chromatogram is avoided and (2) the accuracyrnrequirements for the equation of state used are diminished.
