The physical properties of fluids suitable for ink-jet printing are reviewed and the particular problems associatedrnwith preparing suitable suspensions of particles reviewed. Suspensions of PZT powders suitable for delivery byrndrop-on-demand ink jet printers have been developed. Two suspending vehicles have been used, one usingrnMEK/Ethanol provides a solid deposit after evaporation and the second using low melting temperature paraffin waxrnforms a solid by phase change. These fluids have characterised and demonstrated to be suitable for ink jet delivery.rnSample objects have been sintered from the phase change fluid system.
