This article presents the basic concepts, assessment principles and development modes of circular economy. After analyzing the current situation of the mining industry in Jiangxi province, this article points out that the problems with Jiangxi's mining industry are: lack of strategic thinking on sustainable development; damage to the environment and the ecological system during the mining processes; unregulated excavation and exploitation of mineral resources; extensive pattern and low level of efficiency in the use of minerals; and irrational structure and low level of profitability in the mining industry. This article proposes that we should develop a circular economy to solve these problems. This article then provides some proposals on how to develop circular economy in the mining industry in Jiangxi province.
