Many water utilities across the Country are considering the widespread use of realtimernwater quality monitoring in the distribution system using remote water qualityrnmonitoring sensors. The multi-parameter sensors are designed to track in real-timerngeneral water quality, as well as monitor for a variety of potential threatrncontaminants. Utilities can potentially use the sensor data to improve operations andrnwater quality, and act as a contamination warning system (CWS) to minimize healthrnimpacts from a potential contamination event, whether intentional or unintentional.
