Network performance management need to monitor, analyze and record several of performance indexes in order to find out the switch happens or potential danger. This paper briefly introduced the goals of network performance management and basic functions, and network performance analysis based on SNMP including the port status analysis, port flow analysis and equipment resources utilization analysis, etc. And to be able to analyze network performance from multi-angle, this paper designed and implemented network performance management system based on SNMP, which included mainly the network performance data acquisition, data analysis and show to the user in visual way, critical management, etc.
