摘要

Breast cancer is not only the most common cancer in women but it is also the second most lethal. Tamoxifen (TAM) is a hydrophobic anticancer drug used for the early treatment of breast cancer. It is proposed here that Selenium (Se) nanoparticles can be used as a novel drug delivery vehicle to deliver TAM to cancer cells. By using Se-nanoparticles, issues involving proper distribution to the affected cancer cells can be improved upon. A more effective treatment method is desired so that the user could minimize the length of treatment while obtaining the same or even better results than current practices allow.
