摘要

Investigation regarding the multifunctionality caused by CNTs/CNFs, electrical property such as conductivity and mechanical properties such as flexural modulus &hardness of various epoxy nanocomposites were determined. These results were supplemented and complimented by microscopic studies. All nanocomposites were showing electrical percolation that occurs due to network formation of nanoparticle inside the matrix. Also light has been thrown to conductivity of different directions of a particular sample. Both mechanical and microscopic observation indicated that aligned CNT and functionalized CNT composites show a significant reinforcement in the epoxy matrix. Lower electrical and mechanical results were obtained in CNF composites that attributes to breaking of nanofibers after mechanical test.
