In this paper an energy system topology consisting of a variable speed diesel generator (VSDG), PV using MPPT and single inverter is presented and considered to provide energy to an Isolated load at constant frequency and voltage. SMES is utilized to maintain DC-voltage bus steady during the unbalanced power between generating power of (PV-VSDG) and load demand by releasing (or absorbing) the power difference until the system delivered the required power to the load. The PV-VSDG and SMES is modeled in MATLAB/SIMULINK and simulation tests are carried out to verify the function and performance of the system.
