摘要

High density recording requires high complex decoders/detectors for handling the interference of symbols both across and along the tracks. In this paper, we present a new interleaved constrained single parity-check code with Balh Coke Jelinek Raviv (BCJR) detector. The BCJR detector handled the code constraints whereas the dithered relative prime (DRP) and the square interleaver provided adequate spreading of the data. The results show that the constrained interleaved single parity-check code achieved a coding gain of about 3 dB, providing a better compromise in terms of performance and complexity.
