摘要

Many countries in the African regions do not have access to electricity which is vital for the success of any nation to alleviate poverty and to increase the development rate. Only 32% is the national electrification rate in Sub-Saharan African countries [1] which means that more than 620 million of population does not enjoy the provision of electricity. The objective of this paper is to point out the road map and plan towards the Electricity integration among East African countries through establishing energy policies and reforming Electricity Sector. This paper presents a proposal for electricity market. This paper also shed light of Sudan practice in the reform of Electricity Sector as one of the leading countries in East Africa in hydropower generation. The research finding shows that despite the large potential of hydropower generation which can be shared among East African countries, many steps and policies shall be formed and implemented to share benefits all over the region.
