In this study, the phantom mediums which has different optical characteristic were made for detecting of glucose level, then the transmittance based measurements were done. It was studied between 900-2500 nm wavelength which includes higher absorption bands of glucose. An index parameter was improved and used a windowing based method for determining the glucose amount. The correlation was searched between the acquired index parameter and glucose concentrations, and a sensitive wavelength was found for glucose estimation. From the results, 1322-1338 nm were found meaningful for this purpose. In addition, 2144-2165 nm are also found alternative or supplemental wavelengths.
