A high density core arrangement has been done with hexagonal closed packing lattice for 7-core, 12-core, and 19 core homogeneous multicore fibers, to obtain the minimum cladding diameter at fixed clad thickness (CT = 35 μm). The crosstalk has been analyzed numerically with respect to fiber bending, core pitch, trench-assisted technique, wavelength, and transmission distance for fundamental LPn01nmodes. The variation of cladding diameter (from 125 μm to 250 μm) depends on core pitch and clad thickness, while achieving the crosstalk less than -50 dB by increasing the depth of trench.
