Dielectric Resonator Antennas (DRAs) with wideband CP radiation characteristics are desired for point to multipoint communication and remote tracking applications. The proposed DRAs are compact in volume with overall size of 36 X 36 mmn2n, height of 8mm and radius of 10mm. Four cylindrical slots are incorporated in dielectric resonator around z-axis to generate circular polarization. It is evident from the results that, DRA model-I offers a broad bandwidth of 1340MHz (4.57GHz to 5.91GHz) and 3dB Axial Ratio (AR) bandwidth of 170MHz (4.90GHz to 5.07GHz). The DRA model-II offers 10dB bandwidth of 1240MHz (4.47GHz to 5.71GHz) and an enhanced 3dB AR bandwidth of 210MHz (4.97GHz to 5.18GHz). The peak gain of proposed DRAs are more than 5dBi. Both the antennas are suitable for IEEE 802.11ac 5GHz wireless networking band.
