This study presents design and analysis of a wideband circularly polarized (CP) cylindrical hollow shaped dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) which has been excited with a roman three (m) shaped feed. The proposed feed has been made-up of five metallic strips, which have been optimized to generate a wideband circular polarization. The proposed antenna offers circular polarization over a bandwidth of ~9% in conjunction with an impedance-matching bandwidth of ~19%. The design has been simulated in computer simulation technology (CST) software by using the transient solver, based on the finite integration technique (FIT), and validated with The frequency domain solvers based on the finite element method (FEM), A significant trend resemblance has been seen between results of both solvers.
