摘要

There are rich mining and metallurgy heritage in Huangshi District, which are seriously damaged because of natural and man-made factors. The traditional form of protection cannot fully represent all the contents of the site, but it can be reproduced and spread vividly and visually by means of VR technology. This paper takes east open pit of Daye iron mine in Huangshi as an example, collects data through field investigation, collects information by panoramic camera, uses three-dimensional software for modeling and production, and protects it in interactive digital method through VRP unreal engines. This paper summarizes the application methods and working procedures of VR technology in the protection of mining and metallurgy heritage, and discusses the significance of digital protection of mining and metallurgy heritage, so as to provide high-tech support for the protection of mining and metallurgy cultural heritage in china.
