The paper proposes a circuit model implemented in PSpice code in order to analyse the inrush current parameters of a 10 kVA superconducting HTS transformer. The results of PSpice modeling of an HTS and a conventional transformer with copper windings have been compared to the waveforms of the inrush current obtained from the experimental data of the physical models of a 10 kVA transformer. The analysis of the first and tenth pulse relation has been performed for transient waveforms of the inrush current with the developed PSpice models of a superconducting and conventional transformer.
