摘要

Panasonic EV Energy (PEVE) has developed the new-prismatic Ni/MH batteryrnmodule for Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) that succeeded higher power by modifyingrnconventional materials and structures. The main improvements are the current pathwayrnstructure, which uniforms current distribution and improves high-rated discharge performance,rnand the positive electrode material. As the results, we achieved 30% increase in power densityrncompared with conventional type, and accomplished the excellent output power of 1300W/kg.rnThe other characteristics of new-prismatic battery are as same as conventional battery.rnIn this paper, we report the development of the new developed prismatic Ni/MH batteryrnfor HEV and its performance.
