The ADEOS-II/SeaWinds data from 10 April to 24 October 2003 were input to force thernPrinceton Ocean Model (POM) to create the wind-driven circulation model in the Gulf ofrnThailand. The wind data from NOGAPs (Navy Operational Global Atmospheric Prediction)rnwere also used for comparison. Only the clear ADEOS-II/GLI images were processed using GLIrnstandard Algorithms to study the effects of wind-driven currents on chlorophyll, suspendedrnsediment and CDOM distributions in the Gulf of Thailand during the southwest monsoon season.rnThe monthly QuikSCAT/SeaWinds, SeaWiFS, Terra/MODIS, SST data in 2001 were comparedrnto study the air-sea interaction processes in the Indian Ocean. The productivity is rather highrnnear the river-mouths especially in southwest and rainy monsoon season. The wind fromrnsatellite data can be input to construct storm surge, tide, wave and dispersion model in the Gulfrnof Thailand. Moreover, the SeaWinds data can be used to study oceanic fronts, eddies and withrncolor sensor data to study the fishery oceanography and sediment transport in the Gulf ofrnThailand.
