A method for retrieving liquid water content fields in convective clouds is considered. It is based on a combined microwave radiometric and radar sounding of clouds using Neural Networks (NNs) and Computer Tomography (CT). A sounding scheme, which can be realized in practice is proposed. The sounding according to this scheme is conducted from an aircraft flying above a studied cloud located above a water surface. It needs to note that a simplified task is considered as the first step in solving the problem. Models of clouds without both precipitation and complicated microphysics, such as Cumulus and Cumulus Congestus and the model of calm sea surface are used for solving the problem by numerical simulation. Four various CT-techniques are tested in this study for searching an optimal technique. Potentialities of the said method are assessed using a closed scheme of numerical experiment. The result of this experiment and a comparison of the four chosen techniques are presented.
