This work deals with the structural design and the micromachining of an active proportional microvalve for space applications. The microvalve is used to obtain a very precise flow control with low pressure losses in an integrated thruster for nano-satellite Attitude Control Systems (ACS). The technology process for the construction of the microvalve and the membrane mechanical design is described.
