摘要

Measurements of the tensile elastic modulus of poly(pyrrole) films are presented. Composite fibres are tested using both a conventional tensile tester and a low-cost micro-tensile test-rig. The elastic tensile modulus of poly(pyrrole) was deduced from force-curve measurements on different polypyrrole coated fibres with outer diameters ranging between 5 and 50μm. Tests show that the tensile behaviour strongly depends on doped electrolytes, internal fibres and the thickness or outer diameter of the poly(pyrrole) layers.
