Caisson inleakage was drastically reduced to barely measurable amounts - far surpassing original estimates. The structure was originally designed to handle an inleakage of approximately a 1,000 Gallons per Day. Over one year later, the plant engineers who currently monitor the caisson inleakage sump have reported that the inleakage is "barely measurable", estimated at times to be 9 Gallons per Day. The successful results of the repair have allowed the power plant to be approved for decommissioning which is in progress at the writing of this paper. Secondary leakage has not appeared and the Owner remains totally satisfied with the results.
