Within several research projects extensive investigations on the adhesion of epoxy coatings on humid and wet concrete were carried out. This paper deals with the evaluation of parameters affecting the adhesion based on this investigations. Additional to influences of cement type and grade of humidity during the coating application, the ambient temperature during the curing of the resins could be pointed out as a main factor for the adhesion quality. Allowing two days of curing at 23℃ led to significantly better adhesion characteristics than a constant temperature of 8℃. This leads to the following recommendations for the work on site: 1. Coating measures should be postponed, when there is no chance for several hours of curing at appropriate temperatures within the first days after application. 2. If possible, a surface heating during the first hours of curing should be taken into account.
