Strength Properties and rapid chloride penetration resistance of self-compacting concrete mixes are presented in this paper. Four concrete mixtures were prepared with 15, 20, 25, and 30% of Class F fly ash of total powder content of 550 kg/m3. Tests were performed for fresh concrete properties, compressive strength at the ages of 7, 28, and 90 days, splitting tensile strength at the ages of 28, and 90 days and rapid chloride penetration resistance at the age of 90 days according to ASTM 1202 -97. Results indicated increase in compressive strength of 15% and split tensile strength of 36% with decrease in fly ash content from 30% to 15% at 28 days. At other ages also same trend in strength properties of SCC mixes was observed. The rapid chloride penetration resistance for all the mixes was observed to be less than 700 coulomb i.e. Very low as per ASTM 1202-97.
