摘要

Microhydro systems are primarily used to supply the lighting loads to rural communities in Nepal. The performance of CFLs is compared to other available lamps, both technically and with non technical factors and their effect on the overall system cost. The effect of poor voltage and frequency regulation of these microhydro systems is investigated on the lamps according to their type. Taking into account reliability, lifetime etc, together with the technical factors, the total costing comparisons are given for a system supplying differing lamps and a conclusion drawn as to which is likely to be the most appropriate.
