Introduction Forages typically make up half or more of the diet of lactating cattle and profoundly affect energy and carbohydrate intake (Kendall et al.,2009).In China Alfalfa,com silage and Chinese wildrye as mixed forage (MF) were used for large-scale dairy farms widely,but,Alfalfa is especially in short supply (Wang.,2011).At the same time,it is estimatedthat more than 100 × 109 kg of corn stover isgenerated annually in China (Pang et al.,2008),so,use corn stover (CS) as forage in dairy diets is important.In previous study,we found that CSA (65% concentrate) and MF had no obvious different in milk protein content and milk yield.However,lactation efficiency is higher in MF vs.CSA.The objective of this study was to determine the effects of different diets on gene expression related to milk protein synthesis in the mammary gland of lactating cows.
