摘要

Key to the understanding, and ultimately to the application of physical measurements is thernevaluation of the perceptual effects that are induced by the various magnitudes of specificrnphysical and psychoacoustic parameters. The soundscape approach, understood as a qualitativequantitativernmethodology, has been applied in several field studies where Soundscapes arernconsidered as environments of certain sound sources and the way people feel about those soundsrncontributing to the identity of the respective ambiences. The qualitative data analysis shows thatrnthe sound evaluations depend on the social and cultural structures in which the individual isrnimbedded. Therefore, the socio-cultural frame of reference, which the sound-exposed personrnuses as a criterion for orientation and evaluation, must be explored in detail. Especially arncollective feeling of identity has a major impact on the expectancies and claims people havernconcerning their sound environment. It is important to recognize that among varying soundscaperntypes the relationship between physical and perceptual parameters will have similarities, but thernrelationship will also have unique properties tied to each specific ambience.
